Strengthening resource efficiency at PETRO-KAMEN d.o.o.

PETRO-KAMEN d.o.o., a company for the cutting, shaping and processing of stone and for construction, applied for and was awarded a grant for this project.

The project is being carried out and co-financed under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the NextGenerationEU programme and the call "Support for enterprises transitioning to an energy- and resource-efficient economy for 2024" (NPOO.C1.1.1.R4-I1.02).

Project goal

To modernise the production plant and establish more energy- and resource-efficient manufacturing by promoting the circular economy, increasing the use of renewable energy sources and reducing CO2 emissions.

Project description

More energy- and resource-efficient production at Petro-Kamen will be achieved by replacing old production machinery with new, installing a solar power plant and implementing an ERP system. This investment will enable more efficient production and greater productivity.

The new machines are built to the latest resource- and energy-efficiency standards, and the project also promotes the use of renewable energy through solar power generation for the company's own needs.

Resource efficiency is achieved by promoting circular economy measures, both through greater use of primary raw material and through increased use of secondary raw material.

Expert support and advice in preparing and delivering the project is provided by EPSIM d.o.o.
