Solid, tough and hard rock whose use is widespread as the construction (technical) and architectural (ornamental) stone. Because of its specific properties it is suitable for use in almost any environment, and as such it is widely used in family homes as well as in the external environment where it resists mechanical stimuli. It is typically used in production of stairs, kitchen countertops, interior and exterior tiling, tombs, stone sinks … They are usually medium to coarse crystalline, and can range from pink color to black, depending on their chemical and mineral composition.
